The BelgianArtPrize is a biennial Award for Contemporary Art open to Belgian and international artists residing in Belgium and all art disciplines.
Organized since 1950, the BelgianArtPrize is not merely a prize. It aims at emphasizing the artistic relevance, the innovative insights, the diverse artistic practice and the distinctive visual language developed by an artist at a specific time and context.
Following a selection procedure, the Artist designated by the Jury as the winner of the BelgianArtPrize will be allocated the Crowet Prize, an endowment of € 20,000 and a production budget provided by the Proximus Art Collection for the creation of artworks in the mark of the monographic exhibition of the winning artist organized at the Cenre for Fine Arts/BOZAR in Brussels the year following his/ her appointment.
